Okay, so. Right before Hurricane Sandy, there was a Pumpkin Festival in Central Park. The hubby and I managed to nab a couple of free pumpkins and I knew I wanted to make a pie with at least one of them. Using THIS recipe, I did exactly that!
It came out pretty good (if you can’t tell by the massive picture of my favorite kitten) and hubs said that he liked it better fresh rather then the canned stuff. Honestly? I didn’t think it was terribly special, considering. I liked it, but I think the canned stuff would probably have tasted just as good. I dunno - I’m so weak for pumpkin, I love it no matter what it does <3
